THIS OPTION IS NEW, NEVERTHELESS WE HAVE VERY GOOD REPORTS OF THIS TOUR. PREVIOUS RAFTING EXPERIENCE IS NOT NEEDED, BUT IT IS NECESSARY TO BE ABLE TO SWIM FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. OUR RAFTS GO OUT WITH A SECURITY TEAM AS WELL AS ALL ESSENTIAL VESTS AND ROPES.

FOR THE TREK IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU BE PHYSICALLY FIT.

FOR THE DESCENT BY BICYCLE IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU HAVE SOME PREVIOUS DOWNHILL EXPERIENCE BY BICYCLE, AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO REACH SPEEDS OF UP TO 40 KM PER HOUR.

First Day:

We leave Arequipa to Cabanaconde at 5:30 am and arrive for lunch time, after We began our descent by mountain bike. The van will drop us off about 30 minutes outside of town, where we’ll be making our way down into the deepest canyon in the world by way of a new trail leading to the Colca river in the direction of Paclla village (near Llahuar).

We begin at 3300m and finish at 1900m, completing a total descent of 1600m, a duration of about 2 hours. Again, it is important that you have previous experience in this sport.

When we arrive at the bottom we’ll leave our bicycles at the Colca river to be transported back to Cabanaconde, then continue our trip to the village of Fure (5 hours trek). We’ll spend the night in a house in the village.

Second Day:

After breakfast we visit the cascade of Huaruro, located 2 hours from the Fure village. We then continue 2 hours more to the oasis, where we will enjoy the swimming pools, have dinner, and spend the night.

The oasis of Sangalle is a great place to relax and appreciate nature, while also to taking advantage of the swimming pools of lukewarm water (18şC). Our guide will be explaining the various native fruits growing in the oasis, such as the lucma, the pacay, and the chirimoya. You will also have the opportunity to taste them.

Third Day:

We get up very early in the morning to make our ascent back up to Cabanaconde, approximately 4 hours of hiking. We’ll have breakfast in Cabanaconde before taking the van to Condor’s Cross. Afterward we’ll head to Chivay for lunch and relaxation in the thermal baths. We’ll spend the night at the Colca Inn or a similar hotel.

Fourth Day:

After breakfast we take our van to the village of Sibayo for rafting. By raft we’ll make our way to Tuti village, spending about an hour and half on the river. The total duration of the tour is aprox. 5-6 hours. In the evening after a box lunch we go back to Arequipa, arriving at around 5 PM.

If you don´t have 4 days please usk us for our 3 days downhill colca canyon and trekking in colca canyon , this a perfect combination : biking and trekking.
