  inca trail 4 days    

the inca trail is considered to be one of the most famous treks in the world due to its peculiarity and cultural content.

day 01: from cusco to llulluchapampa.

we will begin the trek by collecting you from your hotel; we will head to the sacred valley of the incas           (km 82) from where we will begin our trek on the inca trail. camping in llulluchapampa (3600 meters) from here we can appreciate the mountain range of the huayanaes, where we will camp.

trekking time: approximately 6 hours.

day 02: from llulluchapampa to huarmiwañusca and phuyupatamarka.

after breakfast we will head to the huarmiwañusca pass (4200meters of altitude) which is known in quechua as” dead womans pass”, our descent will be approximately 2 hours, we will descend to pacaymayo, here we will begin the real inca trail (system of benches carved in rock) then we will continue our ascent to runcuratay, a complex archaeological site; we will continue to phuyupatamarka which means in quechua as place on top of the clouds.

trekking time: approximately 7 hours.

day 03: from phuyupatamarca  to  wiñayhuayna.

after breakfast we will visit the complex phuyupatamarca, and we continue to the complex archaeological site wiñayhuayna, where we will spend the night.

trekking hours: approximately 07 hours.

day 04: from wiñayhuayna to machupicchu and cusco.

finally our last day of trekking the inca trail, after breakfast (very early) we will head towards machupicchu, we will first arrive at inti punku (sun gate), then after we will arrive at the sanctuary of machupicchu; free time to discover machupicchu by your self.

in the afternoon we will continue to aguas calientes village where we will take the train to cusco, transfer to your hotel.

trekking hours: approximately 02 hours.

  • transfer from cusco to km 82 by private or shared tourist van
  • entrance fee to the inca trail
  • entrance fee to machu picchu ruins (one day)
